But whenever she sees Aspen standing guard around the palace, and is overcome with memories of the life they planned to share. With the group narrowed down to the Elite, the other girls are even more determined to win Maxon over—and time is running out for America to decide.

REVIEW
I just realized that I read this book more than a month ago and I have not yet written a review. I found out I had a long lazy time to write one for this book. I enjoyed The Selection, I thought it was a good and fun read. But The Elite disappointed me. I know a lot of people love it, but I just can't.
The 1st half of the book was really good, but the other irritated me. I think nothing really happened here other than America kept bumping to both Maxon and oh God I forget the other guy's name. And I needed to a few minutes to remember. Wait. And I found the name on the synopsis above, lol, Aspen!
Well yeah, back to the triangle love story. I don't like it. Maxon had devoted his feeling to America, but America kept thinking that she wasn't ready to be a future queen and all this things. Okay, give her time, Maxon. BUT that didn't mean she could freely have a make out session with Aspen. So, what happened with Aspen and America in The Selection, still happened here. That made me totally okay when Maxon started to make relationship with other contestants. And ofcourse America disappointed with Maxon. What did you expect, America? Like you didn't know that Maxon's future wife was only optioned to 6 girls and you wasted his offer. I really miss America and Maxon's friendship in The Selection. They are way better as friends.
To the rebellion that attacked the kingdom, again, we still have no idea their motivation. Seriously, how lacking the guardians of Ilea King's palace are? The rebels could come attacking all over the palace and go home, and come back again sometimes later. Not amused me anymore.
The Selection program, which was attractive session on the previous book, was nothing to do anymore. No dress rivalry or fun interview, it wasn't important aspect anymore. Too bad :(

I like the half book and I like Marlene (I think I spelled it wrong). I thought like "OMG this is going to be good!" and in the middle of book, everything was dropped.
