SYNOPSIS
When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I'd pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring.... until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth.
Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something...unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me.
You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon's touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I'm getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don't kill him first, that is.

I've always found that the most beautiful people, truly beautiful inside and out, are the ones who are quietly unaware of their effect. The ones who throw their beauty around, waste what they have? Their beauty is only passing. It's just a shell hiding nothing but shadows and emptiness.

REVIEW
Don't judge a book by its cover. Seriously if it wasn't because my friends recommened this book, I would never pick this book. The cover is annoying, it might be better if there was no girl hanging on that boy's neck, but still not good.
But I'm glad I finally picked this up. I enjoyed reading it. Jennifer Armentrout's writing style easily made me devour this book. People said this book has a lot of Twilight aspects, but since I haven't read Twilight I have no idea. But I think there are similiar things to Unearthly by Cynthia Hand, what do you think?
The plot is typical new girl on town and find out supernatural things. In this case, it's sexy alien. It has action and more romance.
Katy is so relateable and her POV is funny. She is a book nerd and she blogs about books! I totally like Katy and Daemon's interactions. They are hilarious! Their awkward relationship is my favorite pleasure of the book.
The other characters weren't introduced deeply. Some other sexy aliens (why all alien here are pretty and sexy?) made appearance but too bad they didn't take much part of this book.
I have some issues though. For me, the story was predictable and the plot is not a strong one. I also didn't understand why Dee and Kat were very suddenly turned to be best friends in an instant. But those didn't make me less enjoy reading this book :D

I'll recommend it if you want a funny, sexy, and not too complicated book.
