SYNOPSIS
When Kate Pierce-Keller’s grandmother gives her a strange blue medallion and speaks of time travel, sixteen-year-old Kate assumes the old woman is delusional. But it all becomes horrifyingly real when a murder in the past destroys the foundation of Kate’s present-day life. Suddenly, that medallion is the only thing protecting Kate from blinking out of existence.
Kate learns that the 1893 killing is part of something much more sinister, and Kate’s genetic ability to time-travel makes her the only one who can stop him. Risking everything, she travels to the Chicago World’s Fair to try to prevent the killing and the chain of events that follows.
Changing the timeline comes with a personal cost, however—if Kate succeeds, the boy she loves will have no memory of her existence. And regardless of her motives, does she have the right to manipulate the fate of the entire world?

REVIEW
I really like the idea of this book, it's always interesting to jumble into time travel. But sadly, I didn't enjoy it very much.
The first few chapters were so boring and full of explanations. The story didn't have progress during those chapters. They just sat and you would get a bunch of explanations about time travel at once and I was positively confused. It was telling, not showing. But I was still curious about how the disaster began. So in far future, there was a company named CHRONOS with people who have gift. Some people could jump through different places and times. Because someone disrupted the timeline so poeple who were doing time leaping were messed up. They landed in different times and couldn't come back, the future where they came from was just a black out. Like, future didn't exist. And here, Kate, one of the leaping people's granddaughter who is their hope to save the world. That mystery is what I'm interested to.
What really annoyed me was the romance. Kate met Trey and the next day, they fell in love. I wanted to take aside that insta-love thingy, but Kate became annoying when it had something to do with her love interest and I was so disturbed. I can get it if you kiss a boy that you just met yesterday, but showing him your grandmother's diary LIKE HELLOO GIRL THAT'S A DIARY??
There was also another love interest (Kiernan) from far past timeline which annoyingly forcing a love triangle to the story.

Like I said, I really interested with the idea, but it was executed the wrong way. And the romance is something I really don't like.
