SYNOPSIS
Ruby never asked for the abilities that almost cost her her life. Now she must call upon them on a daily basis, leading dangerous missions to bring down a corrupt government and breaking into the minds of her enemies. Other kids in the Children’s League call Ruby “Leader”, but she knows what she really is: a monster.
When Ruby is entrusted with an explosive secret, she must embark on her most dangerous mission yet: leaving the Children’s League behind. Crucial information about the disease that killed most of America’s children—and turned Ruby and the others who lived into feared and hated outcasts—has survived every attempt to destroy it. But the truth is only saved in one place: a flashdrive in the hands of Liam Stewart, the boy Ruby once believed was her future—and who now wouldn’t recognize her.
As Ruby sets out across a desperate, lawless country to find Liam—and answers about the catastrophe that has ripped both her life and America apart—she is torn between old friends and the promise she made to serve the League. Ruby will do anything to protect the people she loves. But what if winning the war means losing herself?
But you're missing the key between you and those two.
You are not alone.

Remember how Alexandra Bracken crushed our hearts to the ground with that deadly ending of The Darkest Minds? Now the sequel, Never Fade, is already out, time to assemble our hearts back!
People said usually the 2nd book of trilogy is just a plain bridge to the last book. For Never Fade, NOPE. As a sequel, Never Fade is phenomenal! It's different with The Darkest Minds but both are amazing in their own ways. TDM has more adventure aspects while Never Fade has more actions!
Ruby's journey expands the whole new way. She has grown up becomes more stronger and knows who to use her ability. It's beautiful the way Alex wrote Ruby's POV from TDM to NF, by the words which were spoken through Ruby's voice, you'll see that our main heroine is now more mature.
The plot will leave you breathless. Every page is so intense and full of emotions. I can't count how many times I cried, I was overwhelmed with emotions because I cherish our main characters too much.
The actions are so legit and gripping! Also many plot twists which are covered the story in suspenseful way, you cannot stop flipping the pages because seriously what is sleeping?? (۳˚Д˚)۳
*exhale*
The characters, c'mon guys, Alex really did brilliant job to her characters developement. She knows how to make us love the characters. We have some beloved characters from previous book which have more developement that will make you love them more. Ruby becomes more badass and decisive! I love her though at some point I miss the old Ruby :")
Liam is still my sweetheart. If he's around, I don't need sugar for my tea. But you know what happened to him in last book, and you know he is able to wrench your hearts to the point of crying. Yes I did cry for him (˘̩̩̩_˘̩̩̩ƪ)
We also get some new characters like Vida and Jude, kids from League. You'll love them too, believe me!
What I love from this series other than all things above is how Alex showed, without overwhelming hints, that adults (although on TDM most of them seem like threats) also struggles with this condition. It broadens the world building, shows us many point of views. Our main characters are just kids, and it's not like kids can do everything.
Can't wait for the 3rd book and complete the titles!
