You can read Unearthly review here. I used Indonesia on that review because I read translated version. And because waiting for Hallowed translated version was like forever, I bought english version then.
SYNOPSIS
For months Clara Gardner trained to face the fire from her visions, but she wasn't prepared for the choice she had to make that day. And in the aftermath, she discovered that nothing about being part angel is as straightforward as she thought.
Now, torn between her love for Tucker and her complicated feelings about the roles she and Christian seem destined to play in a world that is both dangerous and beautiful, Clara struggles with a shocking revelation: Someone she loves will die in a matter of months. With her future uncertain, the only thing Clara knows for sure is that the fire was just the beginning.
In this compelling sequel to Unearthly, Cynthia Hand captures the joy of first love, the anguish of loss, and the confusion of becoming who you are.

I’ve learned that sometimes, when you’re afraid but you keep on moving forward, that’s the biggest kind of courage there is.

REVIEW
Someone will die. Who is she/he?
That is Clara's next vision.
I totally love Unearthly, it was a book that made me happy when I read it. I even thought about how I would reread it because I enjoyed it pretty much.
And here Hallowed, which ofcourse still a fun read, but it didn't give many happiness which I got before. Wow wait, we still have Clara's super hilarious naration. I think Clara is my most favorite narator, she is so bluntly honest!
We will find bigger fact about angels. I was surprised how big the system is. And we will be told what secret Clara's mom keeps from her kids. Finally guys, it's annoying how she keeps everything. But when she told the truth and her past, it was so touching.
Clara still struggled with her failed purpose. She was uncertain with her feeling. She loves Tucker, but her connection with Christian is strong. I hate triangle love :(
I was strained enough that my cowboy got not enough parts in Hallowed. And people said Boundless only has a few part of Tucker. Imagine, guys, HOW DREADFUL I WILL BE WHEN I READ BOUNDLESS? Щ(º̩̩́Дº̩̩̀щ)
I know Christian appeared as a nice, sweet, selfless guy here, but I found his a little bit creepy. The way he talked and acted, it chilled me.
"Well, that's the thing about the summers. They have to end sometime."
"She and I belong together."
I imagined him saying it with his typical innocent face, but the combination of his face and his words stung me. He also stood in front of Clara's room in some nights. No, it doesn't make him become #1 stalker of this series because Samjeeza gets the title.
So while Tucker barely appeared and Christian looked yandere, someone came. DUMBUDUM, welcome, Michael! There was a guy named Michael, whom I have a little crush. He just gave a calm breeze through the sorrowful story. I won't spoil who is he, read the book and judge me later XD
I spent 3 paragraph talking about the guys. #fangirl
One other thing that made me disappointed is that Jackson Hole didn't get more exposed. I like Jackson though, Unearthly showed us Grand Teton, Snake River, Fox Creek, etc, but Hallowed was stucked in angel things.
Lol, it was an angel series anyway.

It's 3.5 actually, the baby duck is 0.5 XD
Not as good as the prequel, but still worth and fun read :)

ADDITIONAL
Something interesting was mention in this book. It was Rainey Creek Country Store, near Swan Valley.

The store sells square ice cream cones. Aaa I really want to visit Jackson and Idaho :(
Anyway, click the pic to go to picture's source :)
"I'm here," he says. "You were wrong. I'm here."
When Tucker said it, I wanted to scream to all the angels of this series. What the hell with purpose or vision or whatever, humanity with their own will is better than your holy purpose! #TeamHuman
